I Came to Bring a Sword
by rawe inwhen i left jws in 2007 i was fairly active in the ex-jw community.
i even hosted one of the meetup groups here in chandler.
when that wound down i joined a local unitarian universalist congregation.

Losing a loyal friend of 14 years
by Still Totally ADD inthis last tuesday was one of the most stressful and sad days of our life when we had our lab morgan put to sleep.
she was so sick and out of it we just had to do it.
when i called the spca on monday to make a appointment to have her put to sleep i felt like i betrayed her.

I told my parents I no longer believe any teachings of JWs

We owe our children honesty, integrity, and the TTATT.
by Fognomore inin my waking up i have come to a very emotional and costly conclusion.
i have been waking up for about 2 years.
the greatest gift we ( i ) can give our children is honesty and ttatt.

After watching A&E Leah Remini on Jehovah Witnesses I am going to stop hiding behind my Avatar
by Still Totally ADD injust got done watching this program and what impress me the most was the bravery of those x-witnesses to sit there on national tv and tell everyone how the wt.
cult affected them.
no hidden faces, no avatar names and no disguise.

My sermon at Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation

since the fall of 2013 i've been attending the unitarian universalist congregation in chandler, az.
i became a member in 2015. this past september i gave the sermon.

Married for 30 years
by nugget intoday we celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and my sons 16th birthday.
i feel privileged to be able to show my appreciation and love for both the men in my life without feeling guilt.
we left in 2009 as a family and have not regretted the choice.

Funny occurrences
by Freedom rocks inwhat were some funny experiences you had of things that happened during talks at the meetings?.
a few of mine:.
- a brother had dyed his hair before his talk and it was raining heavily when he arrived at the hall and the dye was running down his face during his talk and his skin went more and more grey as the black dye ran down it.
